A series of poetry and prose written by a multi-hyphenate creative, best known for her edgy and ethereal style, Collette Ellis. In this latest creative pursuit, Ellis explores deep loneliness, connection, relationships, and so much more.
When I started designing the book, Ellis was still working on it. I only had the title, a few poems, and my impressions of Ellis as an artist to go off. The title drove the design for the cover and Ellis's poem Jupiter helped me develop the visual nuance. Since themes of duality, polarity, and juxtaposition would come up in Ellis’ work about relationships, I thought of the words ‘Stardust’ and ‘Rocket Fuel’ as two opposing characters who couldn’t be more different but both fit together in the greater realm that is space.
